mgs super lite
based on MGS and that crazy sniper py-game i saw.
2d, top-down, only information available is what you can see and maybe "hear."
only fun mode might be ctf, but i'll brainstorm others.
the dumping ground for all the inane projects i have floating around in my head. so i can forget them...

lhpyr: look how poor you are, a wish list of items and their cost; categorizable.
gamerweb: do some fancy visualization with gamercars and friends of friends stuff.
obviously, i need better names for these.
I used to spend way too much on video games. Some people probably think I still do. In any case, I'm currently attempting to stiffle all the impulse purchases by only allowing the purchase of a new game once several older games have been completed.
The system actually works on a point system. Games that are either too short, or that I really want to play are worth fewer points. Games that mildly suck are worth more points (Doom 3). I haven't decided what to do with games that I consider a waste of time. Anything not on the finish me list should probably just be converted to store credit if it'll be worth more than $5.
Points are essentially spendable dollar amounts.

In need of finishing:
There's an old Zenith Luggable in my dept's tech room waiting for some sort of mod to give it the love it probably doesn't really deserve anymore.
Initial thoughts were just using the LCD panel I didn't use for the MacSE mod and doing a MiniITX sort of thing, but I haven't quite figured out what the uses might be. Maybe a media player for the living room (becuase the Audrey was shipped away).
Or, if I could figure out how to go portable with it, it would be a hilarious DVD player.
*shrug*
I purchased an outdoor fireplace from Target the other day.
Best. Investment. Ever.
After getting it setup, my roommate comes outside and stops. Stares. You can hear the gears turning. Maybe even his stomach growling. He kneels down and starts motioning towards the mesh cover of the fireplace.
"If we just punch a hole here and... here..."
He looks up at me and motions as if turning a crank.
He's got that look in his eye.
wow. when did this turn in to homo-erotica?
or oops, is that just me?
Back when I was unemployed and had lots of free time to tinker in my garage, I hit up a Police auction with a couple friends and went a little crazy buying cheap bike parts and frames.
So now I've got a couple of matching yellow ladies crusier frames that I've been trying to figure out how to transform into a chair or love seat.
And now that I've blogged it here, I can forget about it. ;)
Imagine an any 4 or 8 channel mixing board. Now imagine that you could separate each channel into it's own separate, plugin like module so you could have a 5 channel mixer if you wanted. Now imagine that each separate channel was in stereo (thereby destroying the definition of channel, probably, but do i look like an audio engineer to you?!).
You would still have the ability to pan left/right (i think), do some minimal EQ, and maybe have a FX send on the deluxe version.
BUT, the point of it is portability and that I would get to build it. And then I could hook up gameboys, laptops, guitars, drum machines, and spoons or whatever I wanted, wherever I wanted with a pair of headphones.
Closer and closer to the headphone practice studio.
